Manufacturing & Assembly

We offer a wide range of manufacturing processes to create our design work into serviceable components, the majority of which are outsourced through a network of trusted partners we have developed over the years.  We are always happy to work with your preferred third party and can source additional processes should we need to.

2D Routing

CNC Routing has the ability to accurately cut a very wide range of sheet materials for just about any application, from Composite Sandwich Panel and Perspex to MDF and Aluminium sheet.  Using this method we can quickly produce complex 2D panel forms, either as physical mock-ups for final checks prior to manufacturing or  as finished items.  Being able to quickly and accurately replicate complex geometry in a wide variety of sheet materials can radically reduce the cost of sheet fabrication.  One such example is the glass rack (shown below) fitted to a business jet, made in a fraction of the time of manually marking and cutting.

3D Machining

Full 3D machining facilities to manufacture the parts and components we model as 3D graphical models, or alternatively we can export most commonly used file formats to a manufacturer of your choice.  Through our experience in the aircraft industry we have worked with a wide range of  materials and strive to ensure that the most appropriate material is selected to suit your requirements.

For all aviation commissions we work with EASA Approved Machinists, which with allows us to deliver the parts with an EASA Form 1.

Sheet Fabrication

Sheet fabrication allows us to undertake most types of fabrication work in most materials, from plastics and composites sandwich panels to aluminium alloy and stainless steel.  From our Aerospace experience we can ensure that all design work is done in accordance with international aircraft standards.

Assembly

We have limited facilities which allow us to offer small batch production, quality checking to drawings and assembling or part assembling units prior to delivery and ready to be used.  Having designed the assembly we are best suited to assembling the initial unit and can also create assembly literature to allow any following units to by assembled by a third party if required.  Initial assembly of the unit can be invaluable with the first unit to confirm the function/range of movement/operation prior to surface treatments, this also gives a final option to make any significant changes to the unit, once seeing it in a physical form  without damaging any protecting surfaces.
